This deviation is one of the best photographic representations of this type of cat that I personally have ever seen. The subject is clear and distinct against the background, and despite the fact that it was photographed through glass the sheen does not bring about any heavy distorting reflection to despoil the image. The artist has obviously taken great care.

Caught in motion, the cat seems to freeze and somehow almost stare into the eyes of the photographer, thus staring into the eyes of us all. With this kind of clarity, there is more to a cat's eyes than just colour and shape; there is dimension, texture and even a sense of inspiration.

The artist is clearly interested in the subject matter, having chosen it with great care and then watched it closely, waiting for exactly the right moment to close that shutter and preserve that instant of time for all eternity. I get the impression that the artist is an animal lover per se, if not a full-on devotee of the order Felidae. This combination of commitment both to the art and the subject is what makes a picture a truly great work. My congratulations go to the creator of this fabulous piece.
