Description

The Dhole (Cuon alpinus)

Is a species of canid native to Southeast Asia (To read more [link] )

The picture was taken at Kolmården Zoo in Sweden With a With a Nikon D800 and a Nikon 24-70mm lens F2,8

This picture has it´s flaws like harsh light and shadows but still it´s a cool capture. I have not cropped it the Dhole was less then 40 cm from my camera i mid air when i took this shot and the Dhole stooped maybe 10 -15 cm from me unfortunately my Minimum focus distance is 35 cm so i could not get a sharp picture :/ .But still i hope you think this is cool enough

I really hope you enjoy this one :)

All comments are welcome pls tell me what you think is good and bad so i can get better next time i take a picture of a Dhole

Hi Pali,
Still amazing me with your photography! I know you think the light is harsh, but it seems to me that it actually is very vivid and striking, and without the whiteout that white backgrounds can cause. The focus and texture of the fur is so crisp and clear, while the background is blurred which gives this great depth. The composition is excellent, especially when you consider that the subject was in motion. The Dhole really almost seems to still be moving forward! Great shot my friend! I had to do a critique on this one because of the impact it had when I viewed it.
