First of, WOW. Insane picture! I love the composition and the blurry background, it really sets a clear focus on the animal, no distractions at all. You really nailed that picture and captured this dhole in the right moment when he gives us the stare. Furthermore you couldn't have chosen a better background, the green goes so well with the orange-reddish colour tones. However, when zooming in, for a D800 and such a superb lens I'm missing the crisp sharpness which would really perfect this picture. I guess you must have taken this photo with f 2.8 or a rather slow shutter speed. You might want to try if digital sharpening improves it a little (but doesn't have to be) or at least substitute the file with one that has a higher resulution, you really pushed it with downscaling. But nagging aside, you did an outstanding job. This is the kind of picture you'll find printed in professional books of animals. I give you a 10/10 for this breathtaking portrait.
